Increasing Your Blog Traffic

I decided to turn this post into a page of its own. Check out the “Blogging Tips” tab above for detailed ways to increase your blog’s traffic. Since the post was already lengthy and I know I will be adding more tips in the future, I think it’s worth it to dedicate a portion of the blog to tips that will be helpful to those of you who also blog. I hope you enjoy!

    • How do you link to other blogs.
      i have a wordpress blog?

      • It depends on if you mean putting a link up in your side menu or if you mean putting a link in your post. Side menu is not available on ever wordpress theme, but it is on most. Log in to wordpress.com and go to your dashboard. Click the link that says “Links” and then click the button up top that says “Add New”. then enter the website name and then the link. Set it to open in the same window or a new window. I always switch to blank window so my visit doesn’t leave my site when they click a new one. I am not looking at that screen now, but you may have other options there too like picking a link category (Like how some of my links are under “Bangin Bloggers” if they ar eother bloggers I like or some are under “Stock Up” if its places you can shop for craft supplies. Then save it.
If you mean adding a link inside a post, this is how I do it: “copy” whatever the URL is that you want to link to while or before you are making the rest of your post. Then, after typing up the word or phrase you want to turn into a link, highlight that word or phrase. Then click the symbol that looks like a chain of links. The symbol can be found above your text area on the same line that the “B” for bold is on. When you click the symbol, “paste” the copied URL into the text box that popped up. Hit the enter key or save it. Again I am not looking at it right now but it should be self explanitory once you click the link button. I hope this helped!
